Armstrong Telephone Company Licenses TeleLink for Mediation and Revenue Assurance

APPLICATION TO BE USED FOR NETWORK ANALYSIS AND CABS RECONCILIATION

Nashville, TN - December 15, 2010 - Nashville-based Equinox Information Systems today announced that Armstrong Telecommunications, a telecom provider operating in the states of Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Maryland, Kentucky and New York, has licensed TeleLink, a mediation and revenue assurance software system that integrates with any communications network.

TeleLink collects, stores, analyzes, and reports on usage data from any switch or off-net source (in this case Siemens DCO and Cisco BTS platforms plus multiple carrier EMI sources) for a variety of purposes, allowing the company to perform several important mediation and revenue assurance functions including invoice validation. For Armstrong, TeleLink was enhanced to include modules for network reporting, usage rating, and call matching.

“Based on my previous experience working with Equinox software, I knew Equinox could be trusted for custom software development,” said Tom Wilson, Director Telecom Traffic Management for Armstrong. “Armstrong is now in a position to perform sophisticated reporting and analysis on our call detail record (CDR) usage. As an example, we use TeleLink to match usage data from our network with EMI data supplied by our trading partners.”

“For carriers like Armstrong, installing TeleLink and suddenly having access to a data warehouse of information about their network activity really revolutionizes their operations.” explained David West, Equinox Executive Vice President. “Whether it’s comparing switch usage to CABS detailed usage to identify discrepancies or converting data to EMI format for a billing system, TeleLink serves multiple purposes to help make telecom carriers more efficient and profitable.”
