BVU Chooses Protector Software to Prevent Communications Fraud

Nashville, TN - May 29, 2012 - Nashville-based Equinox Information Systems reports that BVU Authority has purchased and implemented the Protector fraud management system to help combat the costly problem of fraud. The Protector software monitors BVU Authority's AMA records for real-time fraud detection. BVU Authority is a digital cable, telephone service, and high-speed internet service provider.

Protector leads the industry in providing affordable and reliable fraud management. Protector offers real-time fraud protection by comparing call detail or data usage records against a number of configurable metrics. Equinox has helped its customers avoid literally millions of dollars in fraud losses thanks to Protector's ability to distinguish communications fraud from legitimate customer usage. In addition to monitoring each CDR to identify potential fraud, Protector also builds a real-time CDR Warehouse, which can be used to quickly and easily research cases of potential fraud, as well as document fraudulent usage for reporting purposes.

"BVU Authority is keenly aware of how costly and time consuming it can be to get hit with fraud. We wanted to take a proactive approach in our fraud fighting efforts, and that prompted us to investigate automated fraud management solutions," noted John Fredericks, Network Engineer at BVU Authority. "Equinox's years of experience in this arena persuaded us to choose Protector as our fraud management solution."

"Reducing financial losses associated with fraud not only protects a company's bottom line; it also results in higher customer satisfaction," said David Ledbetter, National Sales Director for Equinox. "We are committed to providing solutions that generate immediate and on-going results for our customers and are pleased to welcome BVU Authority as one of our newest Protector users."
