Nashville, TN - June 7, 2005 - Nashville-based Equinox Information Systems today announced that Cavalier Telephone, a leading telecommunications provider of integrated local, long-distance, Internet and data services in the Mid-Atlantic region, has licensed both Collector Deluxe and ExtractCDR. These applications with interface with a network of Lucent 5ESS switches to allow Cavalier to streamline the processing of their call detail records (CDRs) for billing and customer service.
"After a thorough evaluation, we elected to implement both Collector Deluxe and ExtractCDR so we can quickly move CDRs off of our switches to our billing system," noted David Vernon, Director of Billing Operations for Cavalier Telephone. "These applications play an important role in allowing Cavalier to bill our customers in a timely and accurate manner."
Collector Deluxe provides real-time delivery of CDRs off of most telephone switches via X.25, TCP/IP, or file transfer protocol (FTP) communication protocols. In addition to real-time CDR transmission, the system also offers automated tools for data verification and alarming. ExtractCDR transforms raw switch data and billing records into usable formats. For Cavalier Telephone, the application will convert records from a binary AMA format to a format that can be processed by Cavalier's billing system.
"We are delighted with Cavalier's decision to trust Equinox to provide software applications critical to their daily operations," said David West, Equinox Executive Vice President. "This decision demonstrates Cavalier's commitment to adopting the latest technology to improve billing and customer service."
