Nashville, TN December 3, 2014 — Nashville-based Equinox Information Systems announces that Consolidated Communications (NASDAQ:CNSL) (CCI), a premier communications services provider, has expanded their license for the TeleLink usage analytics solution to include the Rural Call Completion Reporting module to comply with the FCC Rural Call Completion Order (Docket No. 13-39). The TeleLink platform provides visibility to all of CCI’s usage data, allowing the company to perform usage analytics and generate needed reports, including quality of service statistics and the recently added rural call completion report.
Equinox and Consolidated Communications have had a long-standing business relationship—CCI first began using Equinox’s fraud management system (Protector) with CDR collection and query tools in 1988. The automated FMS offers real-time monitoring and detection of fraudulent incidents, for proactively combatting fraud. Based on the success of these projects with Equinox, CCI turned to them in 2010 when they needed to uncover hidden revenue by analyzing their usage data. At that time, CCI licensed Equinox’s TeleLink solution for the purpose of spotting potential activity problems on the network more quickly and for validating CABS invoicing.

All data can be filtered based on configurable parameters and output in an ad hoc fashion. Furthermore, TeleLink provides increased efficiency in this process by automating the collection, aggregation, and summarization of this data, providing centralized and immediate access across the organization. Deploying the FCC Rural Completion Reporting module allows CCI to further leverage their TeleLink implementation to generate the required summary and detail reports on rural completion statistics per the FCC’s requirements.
