CTC Communications Corp. Licenses Protector 10 From Equinox Information Systems

Nashville, TN - November 15, 2005 - Nashville-based Equinox Information Systems today announced that CTC Communications Corp., the largest competitive telecommunications provider headquartered in New England, has licensed Protector 10.0 for real-time telecom fraud protection. Protector 10 will monitor call traffic on CTC's PowerPath(R) network, which is comprised of packet-based network technology from Cisco Systems.

Protector 10.0 provides real-time fraud protection by identifying instances in which a customer's actual usage varies from expected usage in a manner that suggests fraudulent activity. The software has allowed hundreds of carriers to reduce fraud losses by distinguishing fraud from legitimate customer usage.

"For voice and data, CTC demands especially stringent security safeguards in our IP+ATM packet network," said John Bouthiette, Vice President, Information Services, CTC Communications. "Network and data integrity are extremely high on our agenda. We chose Protector 10 because it meets the high quality standard we require of fraud prevention resources."

"We are extremely excited to play a key role in protecting CTC from fraud," stated David West, Equinox Executive Vice President. "Our experience with other companies like XO Communications and PAETEC Communications gives us confidence that CTC will also be able to successfully leverage Protector 10.0 to reduce telecom fraud."
