Equinox Active As Always at First CFCA Event of 2015

Company to Sponsor and Participate in Important Educational Event

Nashville, TN February 24, 2015 — Nashville-based Equinox Information Systems today reports that they once again plan to attend and participate in CFCA’s Winter Educational Event. This year’s event, a joint meeting with FIINA, takes place March 3-5, 2015, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Sessions at the upcoming event are taught by CFCA members and other experts in the field, with sessions centered on fraud perpetration methods, strategies for combatting fraud, and ideas for protecting assets.

Equinox has been an active member of Communications Fraud Control Association (CFCA) for almost 20 years. The company’s professional affiliation with CFCA is an important one, as Equinox’s mission is to be an industry leader in the fight against fraud. Fraud happens to every sector of telecom in every corner of the world, so CFCA’s members are diversified—both geographically and by business type. That’s good news, because the information shared through CFCA provides insight into the latest fraud trends and perpetration methods holistically.

The joint CFCA — FIINA meeting is shaping up to be a great event. Since a number of Equinox’s customers already belong to this organization, participating in the educational seminars is an effective way to better understand the revenue protection and fraud vulnerability challenges those customers face personally. Equinox’s Christi Vanoye and David West will both be on hand at the upcoming event.

“David West and I look forward to seeing lots of Equinox customers at the CFCA meeting next week in Las Vegas. Equinox is proud to sponsor the meeting and will be hosting our traditional Equinox dinner at Emeril's New Orleans Fish House on March 3rd,” commented Equinox’s Project Coordinator, Christi Vanoye. “However, I’m a little nervous about the meeting’s special event.” The special event Christi referenced takes place at the Mob Museum in Las Vegas’ old Federal Courthouse. According to the program description, guests have the opportunity to try several tasks (like sitting in an electric chair) to get a feel for the mob action in the early days of Las Vegas. The event includes dinner served in the courtroom, along with “who knows what else to expect”.
