2016: Building on 2015's Success

This week we travel to Florida for IT Expo, our first official sales event of 2016. The year, however, is already off to a good start for us. We are currently in the process of bringing up new customers (Telesystem, Wave Broadband) and deploying new products at existing customers (NTS, MidCo).

In addition to ITExpo, we’ve expanded our presence at industry events for 2016, as Matt Lowe outlined in a recent blog. We look forward to seeing many of you at one or more of the 10+ conferences in which we are participating this year.

Our development team is busy at work, continuing to add new features and functions to our solutions. They’ve already finished development on many of the suggestions that came up during the Protector User Group Meeting. On that note, check your inbox or our website for an announcement regarding the 2016 meeting, and make plans to join us October 10-12 in Nashville.

As Amy and I wrote about last fall, there are a number of customer-driven development projects that we’re continuing work on. The Protector Case Manager Portal has been very well received—in addition to early adopters Consolidated Communications, Windstream, and FairPoint, this solution is now deployed at Frontier, Evolve IP, RingCentral, as well as several others. We’ve also fully integrated the PRISM database into Protector and are even offering a free 30 day trial!

Finally, a few highlights from 2015 that deserve noting before the year completely fades in our rear-view mirror.

  • Equinox continued a multi-year trend of sales growth, with the highest number of active customers ever and highest total revenue in company history
  • We formalized partnerships with Broadsoft and MetaSwitch
  • Our team delivered FCC Rural Call Completion compliance reporting for a number of carriers
  • Our customer base expanded in multiple market segments:
  • Cable/MSOs—kicked off a major upgrade of our TeleLink implementation at Time Warner Cable; welcomed Telesystem as a customer joining Armstrong, Comcast, Charter, Cox, Mediacom, MidCo, RCN, and WOW!.
  • Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) / Hosted VoIP—CallOne, AccessOne, and Wave Broadband became customers based on our success with Broadview Networks, EarthLink, Evolve IP ShoreTel, Ring Central, and a number of other providers.
  • Wireless—United Wireless joined CSpire, Nex-Tech Wireless, iWireless, SouthernLINC and a dozen other wireless carriers that rely on Equinox.
  • Conference Calling—InterCall became a customer.

2015 was a great year for us. Building on this strong foundation, we are excited for what the New Year holds. Most of all, however, we truly appreciate our valued customers who are the key to our success and the focus of all our efforts.
