May the Fourth be with You!

It’s May 4th, which is affectionately known as Star Wars Day! If you are or know a Star Wars fan, have a social media account, or surf the web, you have undoubtedly heard someone say “May the Fourth be with you!” already today. If you are not a Star Wars fan, it might help to know that the date of May 4th was chosen as Star Wars day due to the easy pun on the movie’s catchphrase “May the Force be with you”. What in the world does all this have to do with Equinox? I’m glad you asked. While we celebrate Star Wars Day and have a number of avid fans in our office, we do not believe that our customers should have to rely on the Force when it comes to solving their business challenges. Instead, we partner with our customers, working with them over the long term to help them protect and optimize their revenue.

This approach means that we deliver an entire solution—with training, maintenance, ongoing product enhancements, and, most of all, implementation and support teams who know each customer’s system and work with each carrier to maximize the benefit they receive from our products. It also explains why, last month, we hosted a spring training webinar for our customers. The webinar—aimed at our fraud management customers—was led by Protector veteran and fraud expert Christi Vanoye. Open to anyone in Equinox’s Protector community, the webinar was offered at no cost. And by all accounts, including survey responses from the session’s attendees, the "Effective Hot List Sharing" webinar was a rousing success! During the hour-long session, Christi demonstrated the Hot List sharing, Equinox Hot List, and PRISM fraud-fighting tools in the system. As she explained each feature, she also provided best practice recommendations for achieving optimal benefit from these valuable tools.

As one of the one of the single most powerful features in Protector, the Hot List is near and dear to Christi’s heart. Her advice during this recent webinar mirrored the initial system training that Christi provides for all new Protector customers in that she strongly encourages customers to take full advantage of Hot List sharing. If you were unable to attend the April 20 webinar, you can watch the recorded session at any time by clicking the graphic at right. Follow the instruction at the end of this article for help accessing the Equinox library, if needed.

What’s Next?

Based on the success of the first webinar, we are already working on another educational session. From customer input and questions we’ve received recently at Equinox, the topic of that webinar is “Best Practices for Case Management” and is currently slated for June 29, 2016. Watch your inbox and our calendar of events for an official announcement and registration link. Just as before, the session is open to all current members of the Equinox Protector community at no cost.

We want to be sure our customers get the highest return on their product investment and are here to help in any way that we can. As Christi stated during the webinar in April, she is happy to conduct individual web-based training for any customer who wants to learn more about the Hot List. Similar training is available for customers with new team members coming on board who need to be brought up to speed on the application. Training is also extended to any existing customer who wants additional help fine tuning Protector or TeleLink to stay current with industry and business practice changes.

Watch the Effective Hot List Sharing Webinar Recording

The Equinox website maintains a login-area for current customers to access the documentation library of manuals and videos at any time. The latest documents and training videos are posted to that site daily. To access this area:

  1. Go to www.equinoxis.com/login.php and use your credentials to log in. If you’ve never logged in before, go to step 2 now.
  2. Click the Register link underneath the Password field to create an account for yourself.
  3. Complete the fields on the Register page, and click the Submit button. You will receive a confirmation email when your account is set up.
  4. Login and locate the “Effective Hot List Sharing” webinar in the list of Training Videos near the bottom of the page.
