Equinox Adds Routing Assurance and Analysis Functionality

EXPANDS TELELINK MEDIATION AND REVENUE ASSURANCE SOLUTION

Nashville, TN - October 5, 2012 - Nashville-based Equinox Information Systems today unveils new Routing Assurance and Analysis features for its TeleLink mediation and revenue assurance platform. Although TeleLink has included Least Cost Route (LCR) reports in previous versions, the latest release of the system includes significantly enhanced Route Assurance functionality. In addition to a standard Route Guide, the newest version also includes LCR Optimization and LCR What-if Scenario tools.

• TeleLink's Route Guide uses carrier rates to determine the best, most cost-effective route for calls on your network. The system generates both domestic (intrastate, interstate, intraLata) and international route guides. Route Guides can be scheduled to run automatically at a specified time or be generated manually as needed.

• The new LCR Optimization compares actual routing to optimal routing for a user-specified period of time, showing the variance between the two. This information is useful in determining the actual cost impact of calls that do not traverse the primary route choice and allows you to identify opportunities to better use primary route choices.

• The LCR What-if Scenario lets you analyze the cost-effectiveness and actual cost implications of inserting a new carrier into your call routing. TeleLink uses historical usage and rates to provide the variance between actual cost and prospective cost. The LCR What-if Scenario also allows you to review the cost implications of rate changes from a carrier already in the route guide.

TeleLink is Equinox's flagship mediation and revenue assurance platform. It mediates, enriches, and summarizes usage data, which it captures and presents for reporting and analysis functions. It also transforms the usage data for delivery to downstream BSS and OSS solutions. TeleLink's primary purpose is to make usage data actionable, just as it does for the new Least Cost Route features. TeleLink provides essential revenue management, expense management, and network management tools.

"Our goal is to offer solutions for real-world business challenges," commented Equinox CEO and owner Byron Middendorf. "Of course, a key business challenge that our customers face is protecting and optimizing their bottom line. The profit margin can be extremely thin, especially in the interconnect realm, so it's especially important to employ least cost routing strategies, such as the ones in TeleLink."
