(NASHVILLE, TN) April 7, 2017 — Leading telecom solutions provider Equinox Information Systems reports that TelEm Group of Companies, the incumbent telecommunications provider on the Dutch Caribbean island of Sint Maarten, has expanded their licensing of the Protector fraud management solution (FMS) to add the Case Manager Portal (CMP) application. CMP’s streamlined web tools allow TelEm’s analysts to investigate alerts and research fraud incidents from any browser-enabled device for even more efficient response time.
TelEm first contacted Equinox in 2012 as part of a project to identify and select a new FMS. During the evaluation, TelEm not only interviewed Equinox, but they also visited with other Equinox customers who were running the system. Seeing Protector in action and having a referral from existing users drove TelEm’s decision to select Equinox for the project. TelEm deployed the Protector system in 2013 and quickly became a recurring participant in Equinox’s annual fraud conference.
“We’ve had a wonderful experience with Equinox since we first deployed Protector,” stated Lisa-Maria Schalkwijk, TelEm’s Manager Accounts Payable & Revenue Assurance. “TelEm proudly delivers the latest services to customers at affordable prices. Protector provides the fraud management and mitigation tools we need to achieve that mission.”
Protector, the most installed fraud management system in the U.S., is a comprehensive, scalable solution that distinguishes communications fraud from legitimate customer usage to help combat even the newest fraud schemes. Currently processing hundreds of millions of call records per day for customers worldwide, Protector has well earned its reputation as the most reliable and cost-effective solution on the market by saving carriers hundreds of millions of dollars in annual fraud losses.
“We’re delighted for the continued opportunity to assist TelEm in safeguarding the company against fraud” explained David West, Executive Vice President for Equinox Information Systems. “Equinox emphasizes relationships first and foremost, so it’s especially rewarding when a customer trusts us to address their latest business challenge.”
