Equinox Provides TelNet Worldwide with New Mediation and Reporting Solution

TELNET WORLDWIDE DEPLOYS TELELINK FROM EQUINOX INFORMATION SYSTEMS

Nashville, TN August 22, 2013 — Nashville-based Equinox Information Systems announced that TelNet Worldwide (TelNet) has licensed the TeleLink mediation solution after having successfully used Protector—the company's fraud management system—for several years. TelNet is a next-generation provider of essential business communications products and services based in Troy, Michigan. TelNet originally licensed Protector in late 2010 to identify and defend against communications fraud. Based on this relationship and experience with Equinox, TelNet turned to them when they needed a more robust mediation platform to meet the demands of their growing business.

TeleLink's primary purpose is to make usage data actionable. TeleLink collects, ensures the integrity of, stores, analyzes, and reports on usage data from any switch or off-net source, including disparate data sources. The system streamlines and automates the flow of usage data as it travels from the switching platform to billing and other downstream OSS processes. In this case, TelNet will use TeleLink to automate the management and filtering of records going to the billing system. TeleLink will extract, enrich, and store all usage records in a data warehouse, which allows TelNet to track individual records through the billing mediation process, perform detailed usage analytics, generate traffic reports, and conduct revenue assurance audits to verify that the billing system is creating billing records for every billable call as well as validate trading partner carrier usage.
