Continuing education. NOUN — education provided for adults after they have left the formal education system, consisting typically of short or part-time courses.

When it comes to continuing education, Equinox has got you covered! We firmly believe in the power of education. In fact, we're downright passionate about arming you with the right knowledge, tools, and training for the job at hand. And it's not just lip service — we invest our resources in helping you succeed, especially when it comes to protecting and optimizing your revenue. You might be surprised at just how many different educational opportunities we offer and that we provide them at no cost for current customers.

Hitting the Mark: Free AND Relevant

Being free is a good start; however, for educational programs to really matter, they must benefit participants. To ensure we're hitting that mark, the Equinox Support and Training departments actively listen to you, our customers — and not just when you contact us with questions. Anytime we interact with you — during implementation, at initial startup training, via support emails and calls after go-live, at face-to-face user group meetings, or collecting post-project interviews and surveys — our goal is to identify items that present challenges. You've helped us identify business challenges that affect the entire industry as well as challenges relating to optimal use of system features.

Your feedback has directly resulted in product modifications, documentation revisions, or creation of new material altogether. It also led us to launch a series of additional trainings in 2016.

Course Catalog

One of Equinox's most popular forms of continuing education is led by veteran trainer and system implementer Christi Vanoye. These training sessions are typically conducted individually via online meeting where Christi dials in to the customer's system and works with one or two users on a specific system feature. Of course, that is not the only training option! We also train via phone call, individual web training, group web meeting, and on-site class.

The newest additions to our educational offerings are webinar sessions aimed at the entire Protector or TeleLink community. The first two educational sessions of 2016 were presented as webinars in April and June; the next interactive training session was delivered during the Protector User Group Meeting in October. All three sessions were recorded and made available online afterward, and all three were accompanied by product bulletins corresponding specially to that topic. Based on your feedback from last year's webinars and training sessions, we are kicking off 2017 with a TeleLink reporting webinar on February 22. If you want to improve your report writing skills, this no-cost training is perfect for you.

For those in the Protector community, the Protector User Group Meeting continues to be one of the most wildly popular training and educational opportunities. This annual event occurs November 13–15 this year.

Another readily available resource for Equinox products is the Equinox library, which you can access 24x7 online. Nearly 50 documentation modules, plus instructional videos and recorded trainings, are stored there.

What's New for 2017?

With the first TeleLink reporting webinar scheduled for February 22, we're already making plans for the next training session. Got suggestions for training topics or questions about specific system functions? Keep them coming! Your ideas are essential for planning meaningful continuing education for 2017. You can be sure that some of your suggestions will materialize during the training sessions at this year's Protector User Group Meeting, which occurs November 13–15, 2017 in Nashville. Please save that date and plan to join us!

We want you to get the highest return on your investment in Equinox products and are here to help. We are happy to conduct web-based training for customers who want to learn more about Protector and/or TeleLink or to review their configuration settings. Our Support department is only a call or click away!
