NASHVILLE, TN — September 13, 2004 — Equinox Information Systems announced that XO Communications, Inc. has upgraded to Protector 10 fraud management software. The system identifies instances where "a customer's actual usage varies from expected usage in a manner that suggests fraudulent activity."

XO Communications has utilized Protector since 1996. The upgrade enables access to profiling, investigation, case management and reporting capabilities across its network of more than thirty Nortel DMS-500 switches.
