NASHVILLE, TN — November 1, 2005 — Equinox Information Systems announced that Nex-Tech Wireless, a wireless provider serving central and western Kansas plus eastern Colorado, has licensed Collector and TeleLink mediation software. These applications will work with Nex-Tech Wireless' Lucent 5ESS communications switch.
Collector gathers usage records in real-time from multiple network points, supporting various switch types through standard protocols including X.25, TCP/IP, and FTP. TeleLink filters and converts switch data into appropriate formats for operational support systems.
Jeff Dear, Billing Supervisor at Nex-Tech Wireless, stated: "The Equinox mediation platform will save Nex-Tech Wireless a tremendous amount of employee time and money." He noted that automatic conversion of usage data to EMI and CIBER formats enables faster, more accurate billing and customer service operations.
David West, Equinox Executive Vice President, remarked: "TeleLink and Collector represent the industry's most comprehensive mediation platform." He expressed enthusiasm about expanding the partnership with additional software solutions.
