NASHVILLE, TN — December 19, 2005 — Equinox Information Systems announced an expansion of its Collector mediation system to include additional options for AMA and CDR collection from Lucent and Nortel switches.

The company added TCP/IP-based mediation capabilities for the Lucent 5ESS switch, complementing its existing X.25 link solution for CDR collection. Additionally, Equinox introduced batch mode CDR collection from Nortel DMS 100 and DMS 250 switches using the XFER process, expanding beyond the previously supported real-time AMA delivery.

David West, Executive Vice President, explained the motivation: "In both cases, we enhanced our applications based on customer's specific needs. For the Lucent switch, the modification was prompted by a change in the switching platform to only support IP mediation." He noted that the Nortel enhancement accommodated a customer with older switch software who preferred avoiding an upgrade, demonstrating how the company's experienced staff could "quickly and cost-effectively modify our tools to meet the customer's need."
