NASHVILLE, TN — January 16, 2007 — Equinox Information Systems announced that Thumb Cellular, a Michigan wireless provider, has licensed Collector AFT/EIU. This mediation system automates the transmission of usage records through real-time downloads via Automatic File Transfer and an Ethernet Interface Unit, integrating with Thumb Cellular's Nortel DMS MTX switch.
Colleen Forman, Network Manager for Thumb Cellular, stated: "After researching various mediation systems, we concluded that Collector AFT/EIU was the best fit for us" due to its flexibility and capabilities.
The software delivers real-time usage record transmission and supports multiple switch types and communication protocols, including X.25, TCP/IP, and FTP.
