NASHVILLE, TN — July 10, 2007 — PAETEC Holding Corp. announced it would deploy Equinox Information Systems' Protector software to deliver fraud services across its customer base.

The solution enables PAETEC's fraud team to process over 350 million call records monthly from 67 data feeds nationwide. The system establishes usage profiles for each customer and triggers alerts when calls deviate from normal patterns — such as unexpected international calls at odd hours. The platform also identifies potential fraud through additional metrics and signatures.

PAETEC Senior Vice President of Operations Jim Hvisdas stated: "Using one system throughout the company gives our experienced and knowledgeable Fraud team a powerful tool to save our customers from unnecessary and costly fraudulent activity."

The company's proactive monitoring saved customers approximately $1.8 million in fraudulent charges during 2006, with round-the-clock surveillance continuing. PAETEC initially adopted Protector in 2001 and expanded deployment following its merger with US LEC.

David West, Equinox Executive Vice President, noted the partnership's proven value: "The effectiveness of this partnership was validated by their decision to deploy Protector across their expanded network after the merger with US LEC."
