Equinox Information Systems announced a partnership with Hunter Communications following selection for a business assurance initiative. Hunter, a fiber-optic communications provider serving southern Oregon and northern California, licensed Equinox's Protector fraud management system in late 2020. The deployment included call tear down capabilities and automatic blocking features. Equinox processes over 2 billion records daily for telecom providers worldwide and has offered fraud prevention, data mediation, and revenue optimization solutions since its 1986 founding.
Scott Warren, Vice President of Voice Services at Hunter Communications, stated: "Equinox has done a great job implementing, configuring, and training our team. The software is intuitive, easy to navigate, and understand."
Protector delivers scalable fraud detection with real-time network protection and immediate alerts regarding suspicious activity. The system enables switch-level blocking and active call termination when necessary. Its browser-based interface streamlines investigation processes and reduces resolution timeframes. Dynamic monitoring metrics identify fraudulent patterns across customer segments and call categories.
David West, Equinox Executive Vice President, remarked that Hunter Communications shares the company's values of customer dedication and service excellence, adding that Equinox anticipates a long-term partnership.
