A mission trip to Honduras with my son as part of a 44-person team turned out to be a life-changing experience. The group traveled to rural villages near Tegucigalpa to build houses for five families. The challenging geography of the region made the work demanding, but also all the more meaningful.

Watching my son work — particularly his dedication to nailing down the floorboards and building bunk beds — was something I won't soon forget. His motivation came not from seeking recognition but from a genuine desire to help. Despite language barriers, he connected with local children through the universal language of kindness.

I'm grateful to Equinox Information Systems for supporting employee participation in charitable work. The experience reinforced my belief in the future leaders of tomorrow and the universal value of reaching out beyond our own comfort zones.
