TeleLink serves as a critical component for revenue protection, delivering mediation and usage analytic functions that carriers depend on every day. Because consistent system operation is essential, TeleLink provides multiple monitoring resources to track performance and alert users when attention is needed. Below is an overview of the four primary monitoring tools available within the platform.

1. I'm Alive Alert

This standard alert communicates the date and time of the last communication between various threads in TeleLink and the primary application service. Equinox recommends enabling daily notifications rather than hourly to prevent alert fatigue. Configuration occurs through Enterprise Manager's Configuration > Settings > Status Notifications menu.

2. File Inactivity Alert

This alert indicates that data source file latency has been exceeded — meaning TeleLink has not processed records within the expected interval. Organizations should enable this alert for every data source and adjust thresholds to match their actual file delivery schedules to avoid false positives.

3. Source History View

Located in Monitoring > Source History, this view displays details by date and time for each file processed from all switches. It tracks file sizes, call counts, duplicates, and other metrics, making it easy to identify processing delays or gaps in data delivery.

4. Target History View

This monitoring tool shows all data TeleLink has sent to each target, including what was sent, when it was sent, and how many bytes were transferred. It is particularly useful for investigating delivery issues and confirming that downstream systems are receiving the expected data.
