The numbers are in: this year's Protector Users Group Meeting set a new attendance record with 22 attendees representing 15 companies, held at Nashville's Music City Center. It was, by any measure, the largest and most successful event in the meeting's history.
The annual conference gives fraud management professionals the opportunity to network with peers, learn about product updates, and strengthen relationships with the Equinox team. Equinox covers all event expenses while attendees manage their own travel and lodging.
Wednesday's half-day training session welcomed both new and experienced Protector users and was led by Implementation and Training Coordinator Christi Vanoye. The session proved so popular that it will now be a permanent part of the agenda going forward. Thursday featured presentations on recent Protector enhancements by Vanoye and Senior Developer Derek Drake, along with a live demonstration of the browser-based Case Manager Portal by EVP David West.
Five company-led case studies covered a range of fraud detection techniques and management policies, with attendees sharing real-world examples from their own networks. The collaborative "Wish List" session gave every attendee an opportunity to contribute ideas that will directly shape the product development roadmap for the coming year.
The conference balanced professional development with social activities, including dinner at Table 3 and an evening experiencing Nashville nightlife. Friday's relaxed programming covered CFCA information, ROI calculations, and customer credit procedures.
Amy Oldham presented how Equinox maintains customer communication through LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter. The event successfully combined educational value with professional networking — and a good measure of enjoyment. We are already looking forward to next year.
