Over the years, the Protector Users Group Meeting has grown and evolved significantly. This year we relocated to the Music City Center in Nashville, and the 2016 event marked the 18th consecutive annual gathering that Equinox has hosted for its Protector customers.
The Tuesday evening social component took place at Tequila Cowboy, where attendees enjoyed dining and mechanical bull riding, followed by karaoke at WannaB's Bar. Without question, the highlight of the evening was the mechanical bull riding.
The conference drew 25 attendees representing 19 companies, with ten first-time participants. The presence of returning guests each year is a testament to the ongoing value the event delivers.
A significant moment occurred during this year's gathering: Equinox celebrated its 30th anniversary. Leadership received commemorative photo albums containing images from across the company's history and messages from customers and employees.
I evaluate the success of these events using two criteria: whether attendees left with an enhanced understanding of Protector and their fraud-fighting capabilities, and whether they had a good time. I'm happy to report that both outcomes were achieved this year.
Planning is already underway for the 2017 event. If you'd like to attend but need help making the case to your management team, please reach out — we're happy to assist.
