Protector Deluxe utilizes profiles-based technology, establishing expected usage levels based on customer-specific calling behavior. Additional business rules are used to establish expected usage profiles based on call type, origination, and termination. Every call is interrogated to determine if a customer's current usage varies from their profile. Variances are aggregated and summarized at a case level for investigation and further action. Carriers can also use Protector to automatically disable billing entities that match recognized fraudulent patterns.
