NASHVILLE, TN — September 19, 2003 — TCAST Communications has licensed two Equinox applications to work with their Plexus 9000 platform. This expansion extends TCAST's existing suite of Equinox solutions, which already includes mediation, traffic analysis, and telecom fraud management capabilities for their legacy switch infrastructure.
Equinox plans to license additional software to carriers operating on the Plexus platform going forward. The Plexus 9000 switch is a carrier-grade platform incorporating softswitch elements, including a media gateway, media gateway controller, and signaling gateway, providing Class 4/5 switching for PSTN, ATM, and IP networks.
