NASHVILLE, TN — December 13, 2005 — Nashville-based Equinox Information Systems announced that Startec, an international carrier providing communications services to ethnic communities in major metropolitan areas, has licensed a suite of Equinox software applications including Collector, Manager, Protector, TeleLink, TeleScope, and TeleTrace.
Gustavo Pereira, Startec's Chief Technology Officer, stated: "We anticipate that these Equinox software applications will help us manage our extensive network of IP gateways, international gateways, and domestic Nortel (DMS GSP) and Sonus switches in an efficient and cost-effective fashion." The six applications serve specific functions: Collector delivers usage records in real-time from multiple network points; Manager analyzes CDRs to document network performance; Protector identifies suspicious activity and prevents telecom fraud; TeleLink filters and converts billing records; TeleScope provides financial analysis and ASR metrics; and TeleTrace enables searching and analysis of call records.
