NASHVILLE, TN — October 13, 2009 — Equinox Information Systems announced that Cavalier Telephone has licensed and installed Protector, a real-time fraud detection software. Since 1988, this tool has helped hundreds of telecommunications providers reduce fraud losses by distinguishing legitimate usage from illegal activity.
The software enables Cavalier's fraud management team to process millions of daily call records from multiple data feeds and switching facilities across the eastern United States. Using dynamic usage profiles and other metrics, Protector identifies suspicious network activity quickly.
Brett Cameron, VP of Network Support for Cavalier, stated: "Based on our success with Equinox mediation software, it was only natural to turn to Equinox to help us address this need." He noted the vendor's ability to "quickly deploy an effective solution."
David West, Equinox Executive Vice President, remarked that the agreement "represents an important step in our relationship with Cavalier" and highlighted the company's existing use of Equinox's TeleLink software suite for mediation services.
