NASHVILLE, TN — November 3, 2009 — Equinox Information Systems announced that Americatel, a telecommunications services provider serving ethnic businesses and consumers in the United States, has upgraded to TeleLink version 5 and activated its mediation functionality.

The software integrates usage data from multiple sources — including Sonus and Nortel DMS GSP switches plus six off-net feeds from Bell Nexxia, Verizon, Global Crossing, ANI Networks, Sprint, and Level 3 — into formats suitable for billing and operational support systems.

Russell Clarkson, Americatel's CIO, stated: "We have used TeleLink's reporting functionality for several years, and it plays an important role in our back-office operations." He noted the upgrade provides enhanced query tools and reporting capabilities, enabling the company to mediate call data and generate operational measurement reports.

David West, Equinox Executive Vice President, commented: "Our relationship with Americatel is an excellent example of how our mediation software can lay the groundwork for the solid growth of a telecom company."

TeleLink enables telecommunications carriers to perform critical functions including billing, fraud control, and interconnect partner verification by processing and filtering call records from multiple sources.
