NASHVILLE, TN — July 24, 2012 — Nashville-based Equinox Information Systems announced support for an additional data format. The company expanded its TeleLink Revenue Assurance solution to process the Basic Encoding Rules (BER) format, part of the ASN.1 standard. Abstract Syntax Notation One (ASN.1) provides flexible notation for defining data types and complex structures.
With the expansion of 4G/LTE networks, wireless carriers increasingly work with ASN.1 formatted data from switched networks, trading partners, or NRTRDE clearinghouses. Equinox enhanced TeleLink to handle this format and continues expanding its range of supported ASN.1 data types.
TeleLink serves as Equinox's primary revenue assurance platform, performing mediation, enrichment, and summarization of usage data for reporting and analysis. The solution also mediates data to downstream BSS and OSS systems. Its reporting and data integration capabilities enable standardization, searching, storage, and retrieval of disparate usage data. TeleLink offers call detail analytics, call reconciliation, invoice reconstruction, and margin analysis tools for revenue, expense, and network management.
Executive Vice President David West commented: "Our tenure in the telecom industry coupled with TeleLink's architecture lets us respond to technological advancements rapidly and efficiently."
Equinox supports over 250 data formats, serving wireless carriers, wholesale carriers, cable telephony providers, VoIP networks, and carriers with Class 4 or Class 5 switches.
