(NASHVILLE, TN) July 25, 2019—Equinox Information Systems, a leader in the telecom business assurance solutions market, announces today that Allstream has licensed the company’s Protector and TeleLink systems. Allstream selected Equinox earlier this year after evaluating vendors and solutions for these two separate initiatives. Equinox has been helping telecom companies stop fraud, mediate usage data, manage expense, and optimize revenue since 1986.
For the first project, Equinox is implementing the Protector automated fraud management system (FMS). Protector is a comprehensive, scalable solution with a proven record of combatting issues and revenue loss associated with international toll fraud. The automated FMS provides real-time protection, with instant notification of suspicious activity as well as escalated alerts for high-risk incidents. Allstream elected to license the automatic blocking feature to further safeguard their network.
Equinox is also supplying Allstream with TeleLink, which solves business assurance challenges by making usage data actionable. In this case, the system will mediate records from multiple different network sources for delivery to Allstream’s billing systems. As TeleLink processes these records, it compiles and stores a rich data warehouse, so Allstream can further analyze this information, ensure accurate billing, and identify revenue optimization opportunities. They can also output compliance reports.
“This partnership is very exciting for Allstream. It combines Equinox’s data analytics tools with Allstream’s innovative voice products. Our customers trust us to know their business and provide the right solution,” explained Terry Causey, VP Voice Architecture / GM IxS BU at Allstream. “We focus on best-in-class technology to deliver advanced communications to our customers. This relationship with Equinox reinforces Allstream’s commitment to security in the prevention of costly toll fraud.”
“Equinox is thrilled to be Allstream’s solutions vendor for these business assurance initiatives,” said Equinox Information Systems EVP David West. “We are confident in Protector’s and TeleLink’s abilities to optimize revenue and efficiently manage expense, and we look forward to working with Allstream to ensure they maximize these benefits through the applications.”
