Spring’s arrival brings the promise of growth and an anticipation of new development. It’s also the time when we wrap up one of our two annual user group meetings. Each year, we host separate educational, networking conferences for the TeleLink and Protector communities. Traditionally, the Protector gathering occurs in the fall, while the TeleLink group meets in the spring. Each one is tailored especially for the carriers and service providers who use Equinox applications to manage expense, optimize revenue, and safeguard their networks. Due to travel restrictions and lingering COVID concerns, we held the TeleLink event online again this year.
Our customers are amazing! Thanks to their participation, questions, wish list ideas, and comments, the 2021 TeleLink User Group Meeting (TUGM) was outstanding. We appreciate everyone who joined us online and contributed to the event’s success! Amidst the grief of not being to gather in person, we are filled with gratitude that so many customers reserved time to participate or present at the conference.
Whether the event is face-to-face or online, we spend months planning and coordinating all parts of the meeting—from development to support to event logistics—to ensure it boosts TeleLink’s value at the companies where the system is deployed. Everyone at Equinox played a part in planning and executing the user group. As always, development evaluated the WISH LIST enhancements and brought them to life in the application; Support reviewed all customer interactions from the past year to determine the most frequently asked questions to address during the user group; Support also compiled and documented the latest system enhancements; and sales and training prepared a fantastic system overview. This year, we also had an exciting addition to the lineup. Jamie Davis joined the Equinox team as the Director, Project Manager in October 2020. She illustrated how wish list items go from inception to production, explained the importance of requirements gathering, depicted the development cycle, and gave a progress report for the past year’s worth of TeleLink enhancements.
The 2021 TUGM also included a fantastic panel discussion that demonstrated TeleLink’s versatility across different sectors of the industry. We are extremely grateful to industry experts Alicia Tripler (Nex-Tech Wireless), Phillip Berry (TDS), Randy Lemmo (Wholesale Carrier Services), Lori Nelson (Midco), and Donna Fincher (Comporium) for their insightful comments and practical solutions that address reporting, mediation, cost management, and revenue assurance challenges. Finally, the event wrapped up with ever-popular, always-requested wish list, which lets current users crowdsource and recommend future product features.
If you were unable to attend the 2021 TUGM, want to review one of its sessions, or share the information with a teammate, we’ve got you covered:
We are anxious to gather in person for TUGM as soon as possible. Until then, accept our hearty thanks for helping us not just close the books on another user group, but ensuring it is a story worth reading!
