“It is that time of year again,” is a phrase often uttered, but have you ever stopped to consider what it truly means? Time is more than hours on a clock or days on a calendar. Our lives experience time with the changing seasons, temperature and daylight changes, and the visual indicators of passing time like seeing trees grow.
As I consider what signifies the changing seasons here at Equinox, the autumn season is full of events that remind us where we are in our journey through the year. As folks return to work from the Labor Day holiday, we all know that summer is over and it is time to tackle some serious projects. On the sales side, we know we have trade show events on the horizon. But there is one event that impacts our life as a company. As fall air turns cooler and talk of football, both college and NFL, is heard in the conversations around the water cooler, we know that Protector Users Group Meeting is at hand.
We start planning months in advance and look forward to seeing all those who will attend the event. It is always great to catch up with customers both personally and professionally. We’ve put on this event each year for almost twenty years, because we believe it is an excellent way for our customers to learn how we’ve spent the previous year making Protector—their solution of choice to limit toll fraud costs from wrecking their bottom line—a better product.
The customers that attend each year routinely tell us how great it is to hear from their colleagues at other companies that are their cohorts in this collective fight against toll fraud. Each attendee learns more tips and tricks to take back with them to arm them in their fight until next year.
This event isn’t just serious time around the table discussing toll fraud. We do have a bit of fun as well. This year, I’m excited that we’ll be heading to Martin's Bar-B-Que Joint. Not only is it a great Nashville hot spot for some of the best BBQ in town, but we’ll also enjoy playing ping pong, darts, and shuffle board.
So, if you are interested in learning how to better equip yourself or your company in the fight against toll fraud and want to have some fun while doing so, we invite you to attend the annual Equinox Protector Users Group Meeting. It begins on Monday (November 13) and concludes on Wednesday (November 15).
