(NASHVILLE, TN) October 29, 2018—Equinox Information Systems, a frontrunner in the telecom business assurance solutions market, is pleased to announce that LOGIX Fiber Networks has selected and licensed the TeleLink usage analytics and reporting platform in addition to upgrading their FMS licensing. Currently processing over 2 billion records daily for service providers around the world, Equinox has helped telecom companies stop fraud, mediate usage data, manage expense, and optimize revenue since 1986. LOGIX, the largest independent fiber network provider in Texas, and a leading provider of data center solutions, selected Equinox for these latest projects based on the decades-long relationship between the two companies.
LOGIX has relied on Equinox since the late 1980s, when they first tasked the company with implementing a fraud management system (FMS) to monitor their network. Not only does LOGIX continue to use the Protector FMS, but the company also actively participates in the annual education event Equinox hosts for the fraud management community. To support their continued network growth, LOGIX asked Equinox to supply a mediation and reporting platform this year. As a result, LOGIX licensed the TeleLink application to collect, standardize, and deliver usage detail records from switches across the southern U.S. to the company’s billing system. The project also adds reporting for millions more records per day from two additional switches. Finally, LOGIX also elected to upgrade its FMS licensing to the newest version of the Case Manager Portal interface for Protector.
“Equinox’s expertise is well established in the telecom industry, plus our past experience with their support and development teams made them the clear choice for our mediation and reporting projects,” said LOGIX Chief Technology Officer Shane Shilling. “TeleLink lets us quickly collect, report on, and analyze large amounts of network traffic reliably and cost-effectively while also automating the mediation process.”
TeleLink solves business assurance challenges by making usage data actionable. Its mediation abilities are extremely robust, allowing disparate records to be standardized, searched, stored, and delivered to other business and operational systems. Its powerful search and report engine provide unparalleled access to the data it captures, resulting in many revenue, expense, and network management benefits. Protector, the most installed fraud management system in the U.S., is a comprehensive, scalable solution with a proven record of combatting even the newest fraud schemes. Saving carriers from hundreds of millions in fraud losses last year alone, Protector has well earned its reputation as the most reliable, cost-effective FMS on the market.
“While we are pleased to be selected for this latest TeleLink project, Equinox is even more grateful for the opportunity to have partnered with LOGIX on business assurance initiatives these past 30 years,” commented Equinox Information Systems EVP David West. “Such long-standing relationships exemplify Equinox’s commitment to our customers, to earn and maintain their trust for the long haul.”
