(NASHVILLE, TN) January 3, 2020—Equinox Information Systems, a leader in the telecom business assurance solutions market is pleased to announce that Bill Menees will now serve as the company’s Vice President DevOps. This new role allows Menees to further integrate and streamline Equinox’s software development practices and IT operations to achieve shorter development cycles while continuing to deliver the highest quality software to their customers around the world.
Menees joined Equinox in 2011 after thirteen years at Wipro Gallagher Solutions as a senior software architect and technology trailblazer. Equinox initially hired Menees to help architect a total redesign of the company’s mediation and routing assurance platform called TeleLink. As a result of that project, TeleLink was able to process more than a billion records a day using only a standard SQL backend.
“I am passionate about developing world-class software,” commented Bill Menees. “I’ve enjoyed my tenure at Equinox and am honored to serve them in this new capacity. I’m especially excited about applying the latest machine learning, network security, and information security principles from my recent master’s degree to my work at Equinox.”
Menees originally obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics (1993) and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (1995) both from University of Tennessee Martin before beginning his career as a software architect and developer in Nashville. His recent promotion to Vice President DevOps was announced just days after Menees completed a Master of Science in Computer Science from The Georgia Institute of Technology. Menees currently resides in Madison, Tennessee, with his wife Amy Oldham and son Aaron.
“Equinox is grateful for Bill’s contributions to our products and processes these last 8 years,” explained Equinox Information Systems Founder and CEO Byron Middendorf. “I am beyond proud that he completed a master’s degree while working full time.
