(NASHVILLE, TN) January 22, 2020 — Market-leading telecom solutions supplier Equinox Information Systems reports that Telesystem, a seasoned information and communications technology (ICT) provider, has selected them for several additional business assurance initiatives recently, including an automated fraud management system (FMS). In 2015, Telesystem embarked on a relationship with Equinox when they licensed and deployed the Collector and TeleLink solutions to compile, filter, and convert records from multiple network points and deliver them to downstream operational support systems. Beyond mediation, Telesystem also leverages TeleLink for warehousing this usage data, so they can generate in-depth analytic and network activity reports.
In the years following, Telesystem expanded their reliance on TeleLink to mediate and delivery usage records from new network sources and billing systems to a host of data targets. In 2017, Telesystem identified Equinox as their first choice in a search for an FMS vendor. Equinox’s Protector application has a well-earned reputation in telecom, based on its ability to save carriers hundreds of millions in fraud losses annually. After deploying the FMS to monitor their network, Telesystem elected to add automatic blocking to further protect their network and their customers.
“TeleLink’s mediation, reporting, and analysis features have worked fantastically for us, and the Equinox team has been responsive from initial installation to deployment and customizations needed to the production system,” explained Dave Erwin, Manager, Billing Application Support for Telesystem. “It’s been a pleasure working with them, and we knew they were the right choice for this FMS project.”
Protector is a comprehensive, scalable solution with a proven record of combatting even the newest fraud schemes. The automated FMS provides real-time protection, with instant notification of suspicious activity, escalated alerts for high-risk incidents, and automatic blocking when warranted. Browser-based tools drastically reduce investigation and incident closure time. TeleLink’s mediation is extremely robust, allowing disparate records to easily be standardized, searched, stored, and delivered to other business and operational systems. Its powerful search and reporting tools offer unparalleled access to the data it captures and stores.
“When Telesystem initially approached Equinox in 2015, we were confident that TeleLink’s mediation functions would increase the workflow efficiency and give Telesystem a reliable way to analyze their network activity and usage data,” commented Equinox Executive Vice President David West. “We work hard to earn our customers’ trust and are thrilled Telesystem has selected us for these recent projects.”
