(NASHVILLE, TN) November 28, 2022 — Equinox Information Systems is pleased to supply Intrado Corporation, a global leader in technology-enabled solutions, with the Protector 11 fraud management solution (FMS). The two companies have had a relationship since 2015 when InterCall, a subsidiary of Intrado, initially selected Equinox at the conclusion of a search for a proven FMS. At that time, Equinox deployed the system to monitor a portion of their network traffic, which included several customizations unique to that traffic. Based on their experience with Equinox’s software and support since that initial project, the company later significantly expanded their FMS licensing to monitor all their network traffic. For the most recent project, Intrado required additional features, and as a result, Equinox configured and deployed the all-new Protector 11 application for the organization.
“The protection provided by the Equinox application contributes to our efforts to deliver mission-critical connections for our customers,” explained Jaddeus Fears, Fraud Manager at Intrado. “Running in parallel as we transitioned to the all-new Protector 11 was challenging as we worked with the team to incorporate some unique features not possible in previous solutions. Equinox went above and beyond to gather requirements, guide us through user acceptance testing, and train our team on the exciting new features now available in Protector 11.”
Protector‘s reputation as the most reliable and cost-effective FMS is well earned. As the most installed FMS in the U.S., the application has been saving carriers hundreds of millions of dollars in fraud losses each year for over three decades. The system’s dynamic and flexible monitoring metrics quickly identify fraudulent and abusive activity across all customer and call types. Protector can shut down activity at the switch or tear down active calls when needed. Its extensive case management tools allow speedy investigation and resolution of all events online.
“We have enjoyed working with Intrado over the years and especially on this most recent project. We always love having them participate in our annual fraud education conference and truly appreciate their enhancement requests that further strengthen the system’s reach across all telecom segments,” commented Equinox Executive Vice President, David West. “Their continued reliance on our team’s and Protector’s abilities is a testament to Equinox’s position as a leader across all segments of the telecommunications industry.”
