NASHVILLE, TN — August 8, 2003 — Nashville-based Equinox Information Systems announced that Z-Tel Communications, Inc. upgraded its telecom fraud management software to Protector 10. As a widely deployed fraud detection system, Protector 10 enables telecom carriers like Z-Tel to quickly identify suspect and fraudulent activity.
Z-Tel expanded its relationship with Equinox by upgrading current Protector software and acquiring an additional Protector 10 license. The system provides real-time fraud protection by identifying instances where customer usage varies from expected patterns in ways suggesting fraud.
