Nashville, TN — July 20, 2020 — Equinox Information Systems has expanded its Protector fraud management system for Mitel by adding active call tear down and automatic blocking capabilities. Mitel, serving over 70 million daily users, sought these enhancements to strengthen its global network security infrastructure.
The partnership began in 2009 when ShoreTel deployed Equinox's automated Protector system. Following positive results, ShoreTel added the CMP application in 2016 and later expanded licensing for international network monitoring. After Mitel's 2017 acquisition of ShoreTel, the company maintained its relationship with Equinox and recently requested the new blocking and call tear down features.
"Mitel prioritizes safeguarding customers against unauthorized usage. With this newest enhancement to our system, we can provide an additional layer of protection." — Slava Kosoy, Director of Cloud Site Reliability Engineering, Mitel
"Three and a half decades of market experience give us utmost confidence in Protector's ability to reduce risk, mitigate fraud loss, and provide ongoing return on investment." — David West, EVP, Equinox Information Systems
