NASHVILLE, TN—May 20, 2019—Leading telecom solutions provider Equinox Information Systems is proud to once again sponsor Nashville’s premiere trail run and Father’s Day weekend event. Planned and coordinated by The Fontanel Mansion in partnership with Family Foundation Fund, the annual event benefits participants and programs of the Family Foundation Fund. Since 2000, Equinox founder and President Wayne Lowe has actively volunteered time, serving the organization weekly, in addition to mentoring program members. As a company, Equinox has long been involved with the Family Foundation Fund, sponsoring and promoting their annual fundraising event for many years.
Established 18 years ago by the Family Foundation Fund, the annual 5K run/walk raises awareness about the importance of fathers in lives of at-risk youth in Tennessee. The race was first held at Crockett Park in Brentwood, TN, but then moved to Shelby Bottoms Park in East Nashville for its second year. In 2013, the “Fatherhood Games” field day relocated to its current venue, Fontanel. In recent years, the event was renamed as “The 5k @ Fontanel” and “Family Games @ Fontanel”.

The event kicks off at 7:00 a.m. Saturday, June 15, 2019, with a 5K trail run/walk (featuring live musical entertainment along the way!) at Fontanel. Following the race, participants can enjoy a continental breakfast as well as free hot air balloon rides (beginning at 7:30 a.m. weather permitting).
