Equinox Hosting Milestone 25th Annual Educational Event

Fraud Management User Group Meeting To Be In Nashville

(NASHVILLE, TN) June 12, 2023 — Industry-leading fraud management solution (FMS) supplier Equinox Information Systems jubilantly announced details today for their annual Protector User Group Meeting (PUGM). This year marks their 25th consecutive year of hosting the educational, networking conference, and they plan to celebrate this milestone. Based on current registration figures, Equinox anticipates a record crowd for the gathering.

PUGM 2023 takes place September 11 - 12 at Nashville’s Music City Center. In addition to being the 25th anniversary edition, the company is rolling out a new format for the user group. As in years past, it kicks off at noon the first day (Monday September 11); however, it spans only two days rather three as it has in the past and concludes after a full day of sessions Tuesday, September 12. Just as always, the fraud management forum is designed specifically for telecommunications companies and attracts service providers, loss/fraud prevention experts, fraud analysts, NOC staff, engineers, switch personnel, technical support, and billing specialists from all sectors of the industry. Since the user group attracts an equal mix of first-time attendees and returning veterans, Equinox is offering a preparatory ‘Protector 101’ webinar on August 22. That online training covers terms, concepts, and fundamentals to help PUGM attendees maximize the benefit during their time out of the office to attend the conference. The level-set webinar is open to any member of the Equinox community regardless of ability to attend the onsite PUGM in Nashville.

The name Protector is synonymous with fraud management in the telecommunications industry. The Protector FMS provides real-time protection, generates immediate alerts, and provides automatic blocking and active call tear down when warranted. Beyond that, Protector 11’s architecture handles hundreds of millions of records per day while maintaining lightning-fast response times in the interface. Its processing engine supports all record types, includes advanced security and privacy protocols, dramatically eases setup and administration time, and, thanks to an extremely extensible framework, it removes many barriers that constrained previous fraud management solutions.

“The user group meetings are always an exciting time of year for everyone at Equinox, and we are simply thrilled to host the 25th Protector conference this year!” explained Chris Lowe, who is VP of Equinox Support. “We not only respect our customers, but we also genuinely like them and care about their success. There’s nothing better than gathering with them face-to-face to solve current fraud challenges, strategize future product features, and share meals together!”

Registration for the 25th annual Protector User Group Meeting and the ‘Protector 101’ training are now open. Get complete event details, including registration links for both events as well as host hotel details, at: http://www.equinoxis.com/pugm2023.php.
