Equinox Supplies Latest Solution for First Communications

Company Upgrades To Latest Telelink System, Adds Subpoena Reporting

(NASHVILLE, TN) July 2, 2018—Equinox Information Systems, a frontrunner in the telecom business assurance solutions market, reports that First Communications has upgraded to the latest version of the TeleLink usage analytics and reporting platform from Equinox. Currently processing 1.7 billion records a day for service providers around the world, Equinox has helped telecom companies stop fraud, mediate usage data, manage expense, and optimize revenue since 1986. First Communications, a leading Midwest technology solutions provider, turned to Equinox for this latest project based on the long-standing relationship between the two companies.

First Communications has relied on Equinox’s solutions since 1998, when they first implemented Equinox solutions for CDR collection and reporting. In 2012, First Communications selected and deployed Equinox’s TeleLink platform to mediate their usage data for delivery to their billing system vendor. Then, in 2015, First Communications turned to Equinox again for their Protector automated fraud management solution. The following year, First Communications expanded their TeleLink licensing to mediate additional data to support the company’s growth and increased network traffic. First Communications will continue to use the newest, web-based TeleLink platform for their billing system mediation and network analysis reports as they did before, but they will also add the system’s subpoena reporting module and maintain additional data in TeleLink’s custom user tables.

“Our experience with Equinox has been tremendous. Their data information tools have helped us save time and efficiently addressed several business assurance challenges, and their entire team has supported us through every step of implementation to production and beyond,” explained First Communications President Margi Shaw. “We look forward to working with Equinox for many more years.”

TeleLink solves business assurance challenges by making usage data actionable. Its mediation abilities are extremely robust, allowing disparate records to be standardized, searched, stored, and delivered to other business and operational systems. Its powerful search and report engine provide unparalleled access to the data it captures, resulting in many revenue, expense, and network management benefits.

“We are thrilled that First Communications initially sought us out two decades ago and are honored to be selected for this latest business assurance project,” commented Equinox Information Systems EVP David West. “We highly value our relationship with First Communications and appreciate the trust we’ve established with them on these TeleLink and Protector initiatives.”
