Equinox Provides Mediation Solution for Nex-Tech Wireless

TELELINK TO PROCESS DATA FOR THEIR 4G/LTE NETWORK

Nashville, TN September 16, 2013 — Nashville-based Equinox Information Systems announced today that Nex-Tech Wireless, a premier wireless provider serving customers in western and central Kansas as well as eastern Colorado, has purchased additional data licensing for the TeleLink mediation and revenue assurance solution. Nex-Tech Wireless, who focuses on offering the latest mobile and data technology to its customers, recently turned up an Ericsson switch and needed a system to mediate usage records for their 4G/LTE network to ensure timely, accurate billing.

“With the continued growth in the wireless switch market and the rollout of 4G/LTE networks, carriers need a mediation platform that can process a wide variety of formats and standardize data for accurate, timely billing ,” explained Equinox Executive Vice President David West. “TeleLink not only does just that, but it also provides unparalleled access to the underlying data for advanced call and usage analytics which can be used to further optimize revenue and expense management activities.”

Equinox is no stranger to Nex-Tech Wireless—the two have had a business relationship since 2005 when Nex-Tech Wireless began using the Collector and TeleLink solutions from Equinox to compile and convert usage records from multiple network points into formats needed for other operational support systems. Based on the efficiencies achieved with TeleLink over the past 8+ years, Nex-Tech Wireless chose Equinox for help extracting and mediating data from the new switch. For this project, TeleLink will filter, enrich, convert, and prepare usage data from the LTE network for delivery to a billing system. As it processes records, TeleLink also stores the data, which allows Nex-Tech Wireless to access statistical analysis and usage reports for all telecom usage across their entire network. TeleLink includes an advanced set of pre-configured reports as well as a report creation tool for generating ad hoc reports.

“We value the established relationship we have with Equinox,” said Jon Lightle, Director of Finance and Operations at Nex-Tech Wireless. “Based on the success of previous projects, along with the personal customer service, Equinox was the clear choice for mediating the LTE network data for us.”
