Midco Relies On Equinox Information Systems For Latest Solutions

Company Extends Protector FMS And Creates OM Analytics Module

(NASHVILLE, TN) January 11, 2023 — Equinox Information Systems is pleased to once again supply Midco, the award-winning and leading provider of reliable, high-speed internet, with business assurance solutions. Equinox first became a solutions provider to Midco in 2014 when they deployed the Protector Fraud Management System (FMS). That positive experience led Midco to ask Equinox for help streamlining and enhancing its mediation processes. Equinox implemented the TeleLink platform to mediate, filter, and deliver Midco’s records to end user billing systems, carrier access billing systems, and other operational support systems. The latest initiatives involve adding a new data source plus blocking module to Protector as well as crafting custom OM dashboards and reports in TeleLink.

As TeleLink mediates Midco’s usage data, it creates a warehouse, which offers a wealth of reporting and presentation possibilities, including dashboards. Specifically, these new dashboards provide chart-driven views of operational management (OM) data so Midco can quickly analyze the current status, review historical/trending data, and provide status reports to management. The new OM reports provide valuable insight to real-time data, historical trends, as well as revenue assurance and cost management opportunities.

“Midco is steadfastly dedicated to the people and communities we serve,” explained Patrick Miller, Director of Voice & Mobility at Midco. “The support from the team at Equinox combined with the innovations delivered in their Protector and TeleLink systems underpin our efforts to do so efficiently and cost effectively.”

Protector’s standing as the most reliable and cost-effective FMS has been earned by saving carriers hundreds of millions of dollars in fraud losses each year for the past 36 years. The system’s dynamic and adaptable monitoring metrics quickly identify fraudulent and abusive activity across all customer and call types, immediately alert about unwanted events, and can shut down activity at the switch or tear down active calls when warranted. The TeleLink platform solves business assurance challenges by making usage data actionable. As TeleLink processes records, it compiles a searchable data warehouse, which provides virtually limitless reporting and analysis, so you can quickly identify revenue assurance opportunities, cost reductions, and operational efficiencies.

“Assisting Midco with these recent initiatives is an honor,” noted Equinox Executive Vice President, David West. “Having an existing customer like Midco turn to us for help addressing new business assurance challenges is further evidence of Equinox’s commitment to helping telecom companies succeed.”
