Equinox Unveils Next Generation Fraud Management Solution

All New Protector 11 Application Now Available

(NASHVILLE, TN) January 3, 2022 — Market dominating FMS supplier Equinox Information Systems is pleased to introduce a completely new version of their wildly popular fraud management solution (FMS). Dubbed Protector 11, this system is not an update to the existing Protector 10 application (which has been commercially available since 1998). Instead, Protector 11 is completely rewritten and rearchitected from the ground up to offer greater precision, streamline configuration, eliminate clutter, and to performantly handle vastly larger volumes. The company worked closely with existing customers and beta testers to ensure Protector 11 incapsulated the core features on which everyone relies while also overhauling the configuration experience and designing an extensible architecture to support customers’ growth and future industry changes. Along with the sleek new interface and superpowered processing engine, Protector 11 offers a hosted, managed deployment for those who want the complete package.

“Protector 11 is a dream come true for the entire team,” commented Equinox CEO and founder Byron Middendorf. “Relationships matter the most at Equinox. Being with customers at the user group meetings, listening to what they need and want in their FMS, and then not only delivering those features to them but also exceeding their expectations is truly a reason to celebrate!”

Protector 11 builds on the solid foundation formed by decades of working with hundreds of fraud-fighting experts around the world. That experience resulted in visual enhancements in every area of the product, processing efficiencies across the board, and core advancements that provide ever faster detection and vastly more sophisticated monitoring capabilities for every company regardless of their business model, target customer, or network size.

The name “Protector” is synonymous with fraud management in the telecommunication industry. Just as always, the FMS provides real-time protection, generates immediate alerts, and provides automatic blocking when warranted. Beyond that, Protector 11’s new architecture handles hundreds of millions of records per day while maintaining lightning-fast response times in the interface. The redesigned processing engine supports all record types, includes advanced security and privacy protocols, dramatically eases setup and administration time, and, thanks to an extremely extensible framework, it removes many barriers that constrained previous fraud management solutions.

Ernest Howell has been an integral part of Equinox Support since 1998. As a Protector expert, his primary role is to help customers implement, maintain, and fully leverage every aspect of the FMS. When describing the new Protector 11 application, he said, “I take great pride in proactively managing the system and working with customers to address fraud management challenges. Protector 11’s new interface is so intuitive and clean, which really streamlines the case investigation and resolution process. My favorite part though is the new data model offers virtually limitless possibilities, so I can say “yes!” to requests that were previously constrained by switch and data record type. I love that!”
