Protector User Group Meeting
October 10 - 12, 2016
WHAT
The 2016 Protector User Group Meeting (UGM) occurs October 10 - 12 (Monday through Wednesday). This event is tailored especially for Equinox fraud management customers, giving you an opportunity to:
- Participate in two training workshops led by Protector veteran and fraud expert, Christi Vanoye;
- Tour the latest enhancements and new features;
- Get tips and techniques on fraud management and case investigation;
- Network with other Protector users;
- Learn strategies for reducing fraud losses via carrier-led case studies;
- Provide input on future Protector enhancements; and
- Earn educational credits to qualify for CFCA’s Certified Communications Security Professional (CCSP) designation if you are a CFCA member.

WHERE
All User Group Meeting sessions take place at the Music City Center, which is located at 201 5th Ave S, Nashville, TN 37203, (615) 401-1400.
WHO
Any user currently under maintenance can attend the meeting FREE OF CHARGE. The cost is $1,295 per person for all other attendees. Seating is limited, so be sure to register as soon as possible1. WHEN
Please note that preconference training is included as part of this year’s User Group Meeting:
- Monday October 10: Lunch is provided at 12:00 pm at the Music City Center, followed by the event’s official kick off at 1:00. The afternoon starts with formal introductions, has a tour of new system features, and wraps up with the first of two training sessions. Please plan to arrive at the Nashville airport no later than 11:00 am CDT to take advantage of this day’s activities.
- Tuesday October 11: This day begins at 9:00 am with continental breakfast at the Music City Center. Educational sessions start at 9:30 and include carrier-led case studies, a second training session, lunch break, and the ever-popular Wish List. Sessions wrap up by 4:30. Equinox also provides dinner on Tuesday night at Tequila Cowboy.
- Wednesday October 12: The final day starts with a 9:00 am breakfast at Music City Center followed by case studies and sessions running from 9:30 until noon. Lunch is available for those who have later flights.

HOW TO GET TO THE UGM EACH DAY
Equinox provides shuttle service Monday from the airport to the Music City Center as well as to the host hotel at the conclusion of training. Shuttle service is provided Tuesday morning from the host hotel to the Music City Center, as well as to dinner on Tuesday evening. On Wednesday, Equinox provides transportation from the host hotel to the Music City Center and to the airport at the event’s end. Equinox does not provide shuttle service to/from hotels other than the host hotel.
Participants are responsible for their own travel and hotel costs.
WHAT’S NEXT
Now that you’ve decided to join us for the 2016 Protector User Group Meeting, it’s time to:

MONDAY, OCTOBER 10
The UGM event kicks off at the Music City Center with formal introductions, followed by a system tour of new feature, and wraps up with the first of two training session. Both training sessions are led by Implementation Manager, Christi Vanoye. Lunch is provided at 12:00 pm, with the event officially starting at 1:00 pm. Topics planned for the training session include:
- Best practices for case management;
- Protector violation scoring and notification;
- Carrier concerns (time for responding to specific training questions).
We gladly welcome suggestions for topics to cover during the training sessions.
TUESDAY, OCTOBER 11
This day begins at 9:00 am with continental breakfast at the Music City Center. Educational and networking sessions occur from 9:30 until 4:30. Lunch is included in the day’s events and takes place at 12:00. Shuttle service is provided Tuesday morning from the host hotel to Equinox, with a return to the hotel at the day’s conclusion. After a respite, Equinox also provides dinner out on Tuesday night. Shuttle service is provided for dinner on Tuesday evening.
WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 12
The final day starts with breakfast at 9:00 am at the Music City Center with sessions running from 9:30 until noon. Shuttle service is provided Wednesday morning from the host hotel to Equinox, as well as airport drop off at the conclusion of the event. Lunch is available at noon for those who have later flights.
1 Event registration deadline is September 26, 2016. Registrations received or cancelled after this date incur a $250 fee.
